STATEMENT
It is the intention of CRISMAR and its staff using the highest professional training, knowledge, experience and other skills together with personal and technical integrity through its designs, surveys and report writing and all other work effected on ships, boats and other marine vehicles to improve maritime safety for both vessel and crew, to reduce as far as possible the risk and to avoid damage to the environment.
SCOPE OF THE SURVEY
The normal marine survey for pre-purchase, insurance, mortgage or other reasons carried out by CRISMAR provides an opinion only on the structural and mechanical condition of the vessel and applies to all reasonably visible aspects of the vessel, her rig, machinery, service systems and her equipment as presented to the Surveyor .The survey does not provide an opinion on the condition of those parts of the vessel which are covered, unexposed or inaccessible nor on areas or in spaces not presented visible, for example behind linings, beneath fixed cabin soles or floors etc. unless these are accessible through normally portable or readily accessible locker lids, hatch covers, traps or similar access points. Machinery installations, auxiliary and ancillary equipment, and other service systems, electronic equipment, pumping and plumbing, sanitation system, navigational aids and other sundry items will be visually inspected only.
THE REPORT
It must be clearly understood that any Report issued on completion of the marine survey for which CRISMAR and the Client have contracted, must not be construed as a guarantee or warranty as to the condition of the subject vessel if she is sold to a third party and no Duty of Care is owed to any such third party. The Report will be issued without prejudice and as a statement of facts ascertained at the time of the survey during which due diligence and reasonable skill will be exercised and reasonable care taken using common practice.
GUARANTEE AND/OR WARRANTY
The Report will not constitute either a guarantee or a warranty as to the condition of parts it is not, for any reason whatsoever, possible to see at the time of the survey nor it does not follow that each and every defect will be found during the inspection. No responsibility will be accepted for any faults or defects subsequently arising.
CONFIDENTIALITY
The Surveyor undertakes to keep confidential any confidential information disclosed to him by the Client and not to disclose the same either complete or in part to any third party including subsidiary, holding associate or affiliate companies without the Client's prior written consent.
PREPERATION - PERMISSION
The CLIENT is responsible to obtain permission from owner and or operator and vessels master in order to fulfill requested survey.
Tank inspections must be agreed on by owner and or operator and vessels master in order to not interfere with vessels operation and or stability.
Tanks must be ready for entry and prepared as out laid in vessels company safety folder.
LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY
The Surveyor shall perform the Contract with all proper skills in accordance with first class industry standards.
PAYMENT
Payment shall be made within fifteen working days from the date of the invoice and shall be made in full.
